The Italianate Garden Revisited

This has been Chris Jacobson’s San Francisco garden for the last 20 years. The garden has been published in many different venues, from Sunset Magazine and Sunset specialty publications to the hardcover Spiritual Gardening, which came out a few years ago. This summer (2007) we were surprised to see it featured in an English hardcover book by Diarmuid Gavin titled Design Your Garden. Thank you Mr. Gavin, whoever you are. In honor of the event, we have taken a few new shots of the garden. You will notice that in the interim we have added a 5-foot tall water jug (also featured in Sunset within the last few years), backed by a wonderful South African thatching plant (Elegia Capensis).
