When these clients
called us in for a consultation, they had just finished the addition
of a new family room to their San Mateo bungalow. The garden was
old and worn, with a tired lawn and rotting deck off the master
bedroom. Even worse, an overgrown Hawthorn right outside the addition
doors blocked the garden view. The most unique aspect of the house
was the modern art that the couple collected, and we all agreed
that the garden should include a piece of sculpture.
The photo above shows a view of the new garden through the doors
of the addition, with the carved stone water feature as the focal
point. |
