Although this garden was first published in 1996, the plan view above appeared for the first time in the January 2006 edition of Sunset Complete Patio. The plan view reveals the unique flow of water through the garden. To the left, the water flows from an urn embedded in the hillside. It then follows the course of a pebble-lined rill, disappears under the surface of the patio, and then reemerges before entering the koi pond. At the bottom of the plan is our "famous" decorative blue gate.
