We were able to open the garden walk at this point and allow visitors to enter into the border, something which had not previously been possible. The redwoods at this midpoint of the garden had become gigantic, and it seemed appropriate to let visitors approach more closely in order to appreciate these truly majestic California natives. We added plain mulched paths and a simple timber bnridge over the dry stream bed, so that visitors from out of state might get the flavor of our wonderful public redwood parks. |
